Pet owners reminded to update vaccinations

With warm spring weather just around the corner, more people and their pets are enjoying time outdoors. Keeping a pet's vaccinations up to date is crucial. It helps protect them from common diseases and potential wildlife encounters.

Recent reports have emerged of raccoons exhibiting unusual behaviours in Lethbridge. Processes are underway to address this situation. If residents encounter nuisance raccoons on private property, they should reach out to a pest control company. If residents encounter visibly sick raccoons, they should contact Fish and Wildlife. Residents and pets should avoid all wildlife whenever possible. Dogs should also be kept on-leash.

Contact your veterinarian to discuss vaccine options. A proactive approach can help ensure a healthy, happy pet!
