The City of Lethbridge continues to grow with the official 2011 census results at 87,882, an increase of 1.41 per cent over the 2010 municipal census numbers.  The strongest growth occurred in West and South Lethbridge with 664 and 362 new residents respectively.  There was a slight increase in the population of North Lethbridge as well.   
 
2011 Census Results Report

The census is an official count of the number of people living in our community.  In Lethbridge, census data is gathered to determine the population, plan for municipal services and secure maximum grant funding from the provincial and federal governments.  Funding received from these sources will be used for sport and cultural facilities.
