Mayor Rajko Dodic was born on May 13, 1952 and is married to Amy, a local artist.  They have two children.

He immigrated to Canada from Slovenia with his parents arriving in Lethbridge on July 1, 1957 and received his primary education at St.  Basil’s School and Catholic Central High School. 

In 1978, he received his Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree from the University of Lethbridge and then went to Law School at the University of Alberta in Edmonton and received his law degree in 1981.

Rajko has practiced law in Lethbridge since obtaining his law degree.  He has appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta including the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal and has also appeared in the Supreme Court of Canada in Ottawa.

Mayor Dodic was elected as an Alderman in 2004 and then again in 2007 before deciding to run for Mayor in the 2010 General Municipal Election.

As a family the Dodics enjoy reading and have a love of travel. 

Rajko's goals are "to be a good spouse and father and to represent the citizens of Lethbridge to the best of my ability."
