Doing Business with the City
The City of Lethbridge is committed to fair and transparent procurement practices. Bid opportunities are available on our Bids and Tenders portal. The City is also required to advertise bid opportunities on an interprovincial website, Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC), when the expected value of the purchase is:
- $75,000 or greater for Goods and/or Services; and,
- $200,000 or greater for Construction
View our current bid opportunities and surplus sales, month-end reports and vendor and purchasing policies.
Bid opportunities
Our purchasing department uses the Bids and Tenders portal to publish bid opportunities regularly. Register as a supplier to:
- View current bid opportunities
- Get notified of bid opportunities related to your business
- Submit bids and proposals to the City electronically
Register as a vendor
All City departments can administer their own procurement of goods and services under $75,000. We maintain a database of vendors who may be eligible to bid on relevant goods and services based on the commodity they offer.
To register as a vendor and receive communications from us about any relevant bidding opportunities, please submit a Vendor Registration Form and be sure to indicate your commodity category.

- All sales are final
- All sales except foreign sales are now GST applicable
- Items are offered on an "as is, where is" basis
- Terms are EXW our City location, unless otherwise specified
- There are no warranties
