Twelve dogs were signed over to the Lethbridge Animal Shelter (operated by SPD Animal Services) on Thursday, March 30th and will be available for viewing by the public in approximately two weeks, once they have completely adjusted to their new environment and have a clean bill of health.
The dogs were signed over to the Animal Shelter as part of the Alberta SPCA's ongoing investigation in Lethbridge.
The Shelter's regular adoption process will be used once the dogs are available for adoption, which includes a suitability assessment, application form and socializing over a number of days, among other steps.
As these dogs are still recovering, they will not be available for photographs or videos or viewing by the general public, as the Shelter staff are working hard to stabilize their environment and keep their stress levels down.
