2017 Assessment Notices Mailed for Income Producing Properties

Assessment Notices for approximately 2,100 income-producing properties (apartments, offices, retail and industrial) were mailed on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017.

The 2017 assessments reflect the estimated amounts these types of properties may have realized if they were sold on the open market as of July 1, 2016. Owners of these types of properties are asked to review their assessment valuations and contact Assessment and Taxation staff at 403-320-3950 if they have any questions or concerns.

Budgetary requirements for City of Lethbridge services have been established, and the 2017 tax levies will be finalized in April when the budgetary requirements for Provincial education programs are determined.

Remaining residential properties owners will receive a combined Property Assessment and Tax Notice in May, as usual.  The 2017 taxes for all properties are due by June 30 to avoid late penalties.
