20th Independent Field Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery, will conduct a single gun salute at Henderson Lake Park in support of the City of Lethbridge's Canada Day 150 celebrations on Saturday, July 1, 2017.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., a 105 millimeter howitzer will fire two blank rounds marking the opening ceremonies at Henderson Lake Park.

The howitzer will fire one blank round at 11:00 p.m. prior to the start of the fireworks display.

The public wishing to view the gun salutes will be required to remain behind a safety perimeter while the gun is firing. Soldiers will be manning the perimeter during the salutes.

The public is invited to move forward at the completion of the salutes to meet with soldiers and view the artillery piece.
