Celebrate Downtown Award Nominations Open

Annually, since 2016, the Heart of Our City Committee has sponsored an event which recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations for their outstanding efforts in enhancing our Downtown. This well-received event continues to celebrate the many outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations deserving of special recognition in our Downtown.

"It's really kind of hard to be a suburb of nothing. If you don't have a downtown, you really don't have anything. It's hard to build a community around parking lots and subdivisions."
-Ed McMahon

"We are pleased to recognize the tremendous work that takes place every day in Downtown Lethbridge," said Dawn Leite, Heart of Our City Committee member and co-chair of the Celebrate Downtown event. "Outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations have invested time, ideas and capital into our downtown to make it more beautiful, livable, exciting, vibrant, accessible and sustainable."
