City Team Pumped to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

The annual YWCA Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is set for Friday, Sept. 23 at noon in Galt Gardens, and City of Lethbridge Team Captain Fire Chief Richard Hildebrand and other senior managers are ready to step up against family violence by walking a mile in high heels. Mayor Chris Spearman will also be participating in the walk on behalf of City Council.

City of Lethbridge team participants are:

Fire Chief Richard Hildebrand
Director of Corporate Services Corey Wight
Director of Community Services Bary Beck
City Solicitor Tim Jorgensen
Communications Consultant Gerald Gauthier

Anyone who would like to donate to the walk on behalf of the City of Lethbridge team can do so at: or the YWCA's webpage and search for the City of Lethbridge team.

YWCA WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES® is an annual fundraising event which raises money to support the work the YWCA Lethbridge and District does to break the cycle of family violence and help keep women and their children safe. Although family violence is a very serious matter, this fun and light-hearted event asks registered male participants to take a stand against family violence by strapping on a pair of heels and walking around Galt Gardens.
