City Council heard and update from the organizing committee for Skate Canada International which was held in Lethbridge from October 29 to November 1, 2015. The event was a huge success recording a profit of $364,881, a portion of which has been donated back to local skating organizations. Community members also stepped up to support the event with 209 volunteers logging 4876 hours over the four days.

The Galt Museum and Archives presented an annual report to City Council. In 2015 the Galt saw an increase in visitors and an increase in the number of volunteers. They also saw revenues go up from 2014. Overall it was a very successful year and Galt staff are looking forward to even more growth with the recent addition of Fort Whoop-Up operations to their list of services.
