City Council approved  funding and commencement of servicing for the Sherring Business and Industrial Park expansion​.​

How Council Voted

Resolution In Favour Opposed
That Council approve the project budget of $41,500,000 for the Sherring Business and Industrial Park expansion and that the City borrow $15,300,000 to complete this work, ​repayable over 15 years. 

That an outline plan amendment be started along with area grading, design/servicing of infrastructure, railway extension and the relocation of the irrigation canal to support this expansion.

Land sale to Cavendish Farms

This monumental land sale is the largest in Lethbridge's history. Cavendish Farms has agreed to purchase more than 116 ha of land to build a $350 million​ frozen potato processing plant in the Sherring Industrial Park.
