Fraud and embezzlement are realities faced by every non-profit organization and MNP, Alberta Culture and Community Services and Lethbridge Regional Police are teaming up to help them recognize the risks and take steps to prevent being victimized.
When fraud takes place within an NPO precious resources are taken away from the people they are intended to help. Governing Tomorrow’s NPO: Embezzlement is an exclusive presentation developed to give NPOs the strategies they need to improve their ability to mitigate risk.
On Jan. 24, 2012 two information sessions – morning and evening options – will be offered free of charge to local NPOs.
Both sessions will take place at the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization, 500-11 Street South. Registration for the morning session begins at 8:30 a.m. and the presentation runs from 9 a.m. until noon. Registration for the evening session begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the presentation from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
Interested participants are asked to RSVP to Melissa Honess at 403-380-1636 or lethbridge.rsvp@mnp.ca
