Lethbridge is nearing a population of 100,000. This milestone offers a unique opportunity for reflection on what a city of this size can be, what it offers residents and visitors, what role it plays in the region, and how it celebrates its past and plans for the future over the next 10, 20 and even 30 years.
Building off of the first 100K+ Conversations survey conducted this spring and the "Let's Talk About Our Future" Community Conversation event held in June, we are now inviting Lethbridge residents to keep the community conversation going by hosting your own Kitchen Table Conversation and participating in a second survey which focuses on efficient land use as well as environmental and historic resources.
Kitchen Table Conversations are an easy and fun way for organizations, businesses, and residents to host their own conversation aimed at engaging with their colleagues, families and friends about how they view the future of their street, neighbourhood and city. These 100K+ Conversations will contribute to the update of the Municipal Development Plan and the ongoing work of our City to comply with new regional legislation, the South Saskatchewan Regional Plan (SSRP).
Join the conversation by hosting or participating in a Kitchen Table Conversation and completing our latest survey before Aug. 31. You'll find everything you need to know at: www.lethbridge.ca/100K+.
