As part of an exciting competition, Lethbridge and the London Road Neighbourhood have a chance to become recognized across Canada.
London Road has been nominated in the neighbourhood category in the Great Places in Canada contest that features neighbourhoods, public spaces and streets vying to be declared Canada’s favourite spot in their respective categories.
“My family and I chose to live in London Road Neighbourhood in the 80s and every day we realize it was a good choice,” says Sharon Hudemka, President of the London Road Neighbourhood Association. “We’ve got it all within easy walking distance and we welcome the diversity of new homes, renovation and maintenance of historic homes and the arrival of young families.”
“We hope that our community will vote in this exciting contest,” says Tyson Boylan, Community Planner at the City of Lethbridge. “It will allow us to not only to showcase the London Road neighbourhood nationally, but also Lethbridge as an entire community.”
All residents are asked to show their support for the London Road Neighbourhood. Voting can be done at
www.GreatPlacesInCanada.com or on the
Great Places in Canada Facebook page. Residents will have until midnight on February 29th, 2012 to vote and winners of the competition will be announced on April 30th, 2012.
