The 2017 Municipal Election is coming up on Monday, Oct. 16, and everything voters need to know is available at: www.lethbridge.ca/election.
On Election Day, Voting Stations will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters will have the opportunity to elect a Mayor and City Councillors as well as Public School and Separate School Trustees.
Remember, to be eligible to vote you must be:
- at least 18 years of age
- a Canadian Citizen
- a resident of Alberta for at least six months before election day
- a resident of Lethbridge on Election Day
- be able to present ID that shows your name and address
You must also vote in the Voting Subdivision in which you reside. If you are unsure where to vote, you can check out the Where Do I Vote online tool at www.lethbridge.ca/election.
Voters who are physically unable to leave their homes may qualify to vote at home on Election Day between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. To inquire about this service, or to make arrangements for it, please contact the Elections Office at 403-329-7355 before Friday, Oct. 13, 2017.
