Online Community Engagement for Tranist Master Plan

Residents now have an online forum to provide their thoughts, ideas and feedback on the future of transit services in Lethbridge. As part of the Transit Master Plan, the City of Lethbridge has launched a community engagement website for the public.

Participants can sign in to the site, learn about the project goals, view information from past engagement sessions and give their thoughts on a variety of questions.

The purpose of the Transit Master Plan is to review the City of Lethbridge's conventional and specialized transit services and prepare a plan which will provide clear direction for improvements to be implemented within a 20 year timeframe.

Community engagement is a key element of the Transit Master Plan. As part of the project, the City is hosting numerous face-to-face events in addition to gathering online feedback. The online option gives people the freedom to come to the site, look around, review plans, past feedback and leave comments 24/7.

The online engagement site will be open for the next several months and participants are encouraged to check back often. The first face-to-face public engagement session was held in June and planning is underway for the next event which is anticipated to take place this fall.

The Transit Master Plan will include a review of the current service, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvements in keeping with best practices including route revisions, service standards revisions, transit infrastructure requirements and strategies to increase ridership.
