Public invited to help plan future transit system

Whether you use transit daily or have never stepped foot on a bus, your input is valuable to the City of Lethbridge's new Transit Master Plan. Local residents are invited to attend an upcoming community engagement session to learn more and provide feedback.

Transit community engagement session
Thursday June 16, 2016 | 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
City Hall Foyer, 910 - 4 Avenue South
Presentation in Council Chambers at 5:15 and 6:15 p.m.

This is an opportunity to discuss your views with content and resource experts and gain a better understanding of the changes Lethbridge Transit envisions for the future.

Throughout the evening, participants can:

  • Gain an understanding of the current transit system
  • Explore ideas for the future of transit services in our growing community
  • Be involved in interactive conversations with the project team
  • Provide feedback on the strengths and challenges of using the current system

This is the first of several in-person and online engagement opportunities that will be available related to the Transit Master Plan.

The purpose of the Transit Master Plan is to review the City of Lethbridge's conventional and specialized transit services and prepare a strategic plan that will provide clear direction for improvements over the next 20 years.  The plan will include a review of the current service and will identify gaps and opportunities. It will explore best practices including route revisions, service standards revisions, transit infrastructure requirements and strategies to increase future ridership.
