Volunteers Sought for Westminster Advisory Committee

Lethbridge residents with a connection to the Westminster neighbourhood are invited to apply to be part of a new planning advisory committee that's being formed.

The role of the Westminster Area Redevelopment Plan Advisory Committee will be to represent their stakeholder interests while collaborating with other Advisory Committee members, City staff and technical experts throughout the project. The Advisory Committee will be made up of members of the Westminster neighborhood (who may or may not actually live in the neighborhood but must have identifiable interests).

Advisory Committee members will have the opportunity to

  • Collaborate respectfully with their fellow committee members
  • share their points of view
  • utilize their local knowledge as well as information from City staff and technical experts to contribute to developing policies for the Westminster Area Redevelopment Plan
  • be ambassadors for the Westminster Area Redevelopment Plan to the broader community

The expected time commitment for committee will be 25-30 hours of work over the entire project, including attendance at 8-10 in-person meetings over the next 12–15 months.

Additional information on the committee and how to apply to be a member is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WARPadvisorycommittee. The deadline for applications is Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.
