Sports Bid Committee

This Committee is here to help your group put together a professional, well-thought-out bid by providing:

  • expertise in putting the bid together
  • bid package development and samples
  • information on amenities, accommodations & facilities in Lethbridge
    financial assistance for the bid
  • a link to volunteers, experience and support systems

Civic Hosting Grant

This grant is to provide funds to help your organizations bid and/or host conferences, conventions, meetings, cultural events or sport events.

Support for bidding and event sponsorship may come in the form of one or more of the following: direct grants, gifts in kind (city services), minor capital investment in facilities, and/or equipment that provides a legacy that can be utilized for other events.

Heart of Our City Downtown Activity Grant

This grant provides funds to Lethbridge organizations to host events that help to create an exciting and vibrant downtown, and to attract audiences to the Heart of Our City. The deadline is October 31, 2016 for events taking place in 2017.
