Lethbridge - Overnight City crews dealt with drifting snow in various Priority 1 & 2 routes across the City. Work is continuing to work in Priority 4 residential neighbourhoods to open up roads and lanes that are not passable. Snow removal continues progressing well. We anticipate that Snow Removal on Priority 1 Snow Removal routes will be completed late tonight. We estimate that snow removal will continue on a 24 hour basis until the end of next week, with a brief respite for the crews this weekend. Motorists may be detoured around snow removal crews. Drive with caution as visibility is reduced due to blowing snow in the snow removal area. There are large windrows of snow in the middle of many roads as a result of the plowing. This has resulted in a loss of driving lanes and visibility. Drivers are asked to drive with caution and to plan extra travel time into their trips as a result of delays. To view the Priority Maps and for more information on Snow & Ice Control and go to the City of Lethbridge website www.lethbridge.ca and click on Snow and Ice Control under Public Notices.
