Growing the Grassroots - Endowment Fund

The Growing the Grassroots Endowment Fund, established in 1998, supports the long-term health of nature based interpretive programming at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre.

A Diversity of Giving Opportunities
Diversity is critical to a healthy grassland ecosystem. The variety of ways in which you can contribute to our Growing the Grassroots Endowment Fund models this diversity.

Grassroots Supporters
Individuals and groups who contribute an ongoing monthly or annual donation will be considered Grassroots Supporters. In recognition of this continued support they will receive our quarterly newsletter, event invitations and regular updates from the Centre.
Grassroots Builders
Grassroots Builders are individuals, corporations and groups who contribute one-time donations to the Centre.
Grassroots Recyclers
The Nature Centre accepts "gift-in kind" donations, such as environmental education resources, gift cards, services and materials. if you would like to make the gift of an item or service, please contact the Nature Centre.
Grassroots Memorial Tributes
Celebrate your loved one's passion for nature. At your request, the Nature Centre is able to create a memorial tribute account so that friends and family may make a meaningful contribution in honor of your loved one. A temporary donations box may also be placed at a location of your choosing.
Grassroots Legacy Gifts
It would be the Helen Schuler Nature Centre's privilage to honor those who wish to make a legacy commitment to environmental education, nature appreciation and conservation initiatives within the City of Lethbridge. Legacy gifts are very special; therefore, the Nature Centre will work with you and your family to ensure your gift is managed appropriately. Legacy gifts may include: bequests, annuities, publically listed securities and life insurance.
Donation Recognition

All donations contributed to the Helen Schuler Nature Centre have a significant impact on nature-based programming, nature appreciation and conservation initiatives. Donations to the Nature Centre are accumulative over a one-year period, January to December, and the following gifts of thanks will be presented annually.

$100   - Pewter lapel Pin
$500   - Named recognition in our annual report and antique gold lapel pin
