The City of Lethbridge maintains and rents out a number of group picnic shelter facilities throughout Lethbridge. Intended for private family events and celebratory gatherings, these facilities are quite popular during the summer months.
An application must be completed and sent to Recreation & Culture by the appropriate deadline date. If there is more than one request for a specific date and location, a draw will be made. Applications received after the deadline date will depend on space availability.
Deadlines for picnic shelter bookings at Elks Community Recreation Area, John Martin Recreation Area and Henderson Horseshoes / Group Picnic Shelter:
For reunions and weddings - November 1st for the following year.
Family and adult events - March 1st
Bookings at Popson Park Group Picnic Shelter, Kiwanis Picnic Shelter and Baroness Picnic Shelter can be booked at any time - first come, first served.
