Recycling Depots

Recycling Depots Survey Results

There are 7 City Of Lethbridge Recycling Depots located around the city:

  • Park Meadows Mall (1760 - 23 Street North)
  • Centre Village Mall (1240 - 2A Avenue North)
  • Park Place Mall (501 - 1 Avenue South)
  • Fairway Plaza Shopping Centre (2750 Fairway Plaza Road South)
  • Nicholas Sheran Leisure Centre (401 Laval Blvd West)
  • Westside Turbo Station (170 Jerry Potts Blvd West) 
  • Heritage Heights Plaza (850 Heritage Blvd West)

Cardboard

Recyclable:
 clean cardboard, boxboard (ex: cereal boxes, pop cases, tissue boxes).
Not recyclable: dirty pizza boxes.

Tip: Please flatten all boxes.


Clear Glass

Recyclable: clear glass bottles and jars.
Not Recyclable: coloured glass, light bulbs, porcelain or ceramics.
 
Tip: Please rinse all glass and remove labels and lids (tin lids can be recycled in the Metal recycling bin).


Metal

Recyclable: clean tin and aluminum beverage and food cans (ex: soup cans, pop cans), tin lids & caps.
Not Recyclable: aluminum foil, batteries, propane bottles, aerosols.

Tip: Please rinse all cans and remove labels.


Mixed Paper

Recyclable: newspaper, office and household paper, magazines, envelopes, junk mail, shredded paper (in bags- see steps below).
Not Recyclable: wet or soiled paper.

Bag Shredded And Loose Paper - Steps 1-3:

       1.  Place all shredded and loose paper in a bag.
       2.  Tie bag securely.
       3.  Place bag in mixed paper container.


Plastic & Plastic Bags

Recyclable: Plastics with a number 1 through number 7 recycle symbol on the bottom of the container, clean plastic bags (ex: grocery bags). Styrofoam is not recyclable in Lethbridge (even if it has a recycle symbol and number on the bottom of it).


Not Recyclable: Styrofoam.
Tip: Always check for the symbol.
Tip: Please rinse and squish all plastic containers.

Bundle Plastic Bags Into One Bag - Steps 1-3:

       1.  Place all bags in one bag.
       2.  Tie bag securely.
       3.  Place bag in plastic bag container.
