Gardens

The wide array of gardens throughout the city are sure to please the whole family.  They are perfect for special events, pictures, community events or just a leisure stroll.  Below are a few of the gardens Lethbridge has to offer
Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden.
This garden was built in 1967 to commemorate Canada's Centennial.  It is an enduring symbol of friendship between Canada and Japan.  The gardens beautifully blend together ancient Japanese designs with modern Canadian prairie style.  For more information click here.
Community Gardens.
This site includes 94 garden plots of various sizes. It provides a place for the gardening enthusiasts who live in apartments or other accommodations to get out and enjoy their green thumbs.
Brewery Gardens.  These gardens present eight different floral displays in the summer plus special displays for Easter, Remembrance Day and Christmas.

Galt Gardens  is a legacy of the Galt Family, original founders of Lethbridge.  Located in the heart of Lethbridge, the Galt Gardens have been a common spot for many large events since 1887. The Rotary Club of Lethbridge, has chosen the Galt Gardens for their Centennial Project.  The Galt Gardens Master Plan was revised to include an all season feature (in summer a reflecting pool and in winter an ice skating pond).

Memorial Rose Garden.  This garden was built in 2002 in memory of the brave firefighters, police officers, emergency workers and citizens who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in America on September 11, 2001.  This beautiful garden is a common setting for wedding photos and can be viewed at the northwest corner of Henderson Park.
