PARTNERS FOR A SAFE COMMUNITY

Transit Operators keep a watchful eye on the community.

Working in a combination "Community Watch" and "Block Parent" role, they report suspicious activities to police, and help lost children get to where they're going.

All school and Transit buses are considered a Safe Haven to children, adults and senior citizens.

Because Operators are in continuous radio contact with transit dispatch, they can radio for emergency help whenever fire, police, or emergency medical services are required.

They report road problems out-of-order traffic lights and missing signs.
