Working with Dialog Windows

Dialog windows are additional elements that open in the mapping application in response to the use of a tool or search functionality.  Examples include the Property Information dialog, Records Selected dialog and Property Search dialog.

Some of these windows can be moved around the page, collapsed, closed and resized. You can arrange these "floating" windows to suit your own needs.

Moving dialog windows

  1. To Move dialog windows, click and hold the left mouse button on the title bar of the dialog window.  As you hover over the window's title bar, the cursor changes to a four-way arrow, indicating you can move it by clicking and dragging.
  2. Drag the dialog window to the position you want.
  3. Release the left mouse button.

Note: If you accidentally move a dialog window outside the visible portion of the browser window, you may move it back by using the browser's scrollbars to scroll the window until the dialog is visible, then drag it back to the main area of the browser.

Collapsing dialog windows

  1. To Collapse dialog windows, click the up arrow in the dialog windows upper right corner.
  2. The dialog window collapses to its title bar.  To restore or expand it to its normal view, click its down-arrow.

Closing dialog windows

  1. To Close dialog windows, click the close icon in the dialog windows upper right corner.
  2. The dialog window will be removed from the screen.

Resizing dialog windows

  1. To Resize dialog windows to show more or less area, move the mouse over the right or bottom edge of the dialog window until you see the cursor change to a double arrow.
  2. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the window edge to resize it.
  3. Release the left mouse button.
