Information Popups

Information Popup windows are used by the WebMAPs to display data or information associated with features in the map display.

Some features require you to click on the feature icon on the map display in order to make its Information Popup window visible while other features only require the mouse to hover over the feature icon.

The Information Popup window may also provide links to Google Street View and Google Driving Directions for particular map features depending on the features configuration.

 

 

 

Viewing the feature location in Google Street View

 

  • To view the feature location in Google Street View, click on theicon in the Information Popup window.
  • Google Street View will open in a new browser window.  If the location of the property has been mapped correctly by Google for Street View the map will take you to the street location associated with the property.
  • You may need to "spin" the Google Street View display to see the street view of the property.

Note: If Google Street View remains at the North American extent when launched, the property location has not been correctly mapped by Google for Street View.

Getting Driving Directions to the feature location

  • To send the features address or location to Google Maps for driving directions, click on the iconin the Information Popup window.
  • Google Maps will open in a new browser window.  If the feature address has been mapped correctly by Google Maps the location will be marked on the map with a green symbol.

Note: If the feature address has not been located properly it will be marked on the map with a red circle.
