Capital Projects

The City of Lethbridge has a 3 year Operating Budget as well as a 3 year Capital Improvement Program (CIP).


This Capital Improvement Program occurs 1 year before the operating budget to ensure that any impacts to the operating budget may be considered and planned for within the following operating budget as required.

The Current Capital Improvement Program has a number of approved projects in it. Each of the following pages will have a brief description of the project, and what it is intended to do. It will also identify the City of Lethbridge Project Manager; Design Consultant; and Contractor assigned to the project as applicable.

City Projects

Under special circumstances the City of Lethbridge occasionally approves projects that aren’t identified in a particular Capital Improvement Program.  This normally happens when an unforeseen need develops in the community, or when external funding sources are made available to the City through provincial and/or federal grants, or community group donations.
