Construction of new eastbound lanes of Whoop-Up Drive has been completed from 30 Street West to west of the Blackfoot Road intersection. Construction activity is now focused on the section of Whoop-Up Drive between Métis Trail and Jerry Potts Boulevard West/McMaster Boulevard West. Single-lane traffic in each direction is being maintained in this area while underground work takes place along the original lanes of Whoop-Up Drive until mid-October.
Work will continue until freeze-up later this fall and then resume in the spring. During the winter months, all new sections of Whoop-Up Drive will be open to four lanes of traffic.
