Aggressive Dog Appeal Committee

The Aggressive Dog Appeal Committee meets in person as well as offering a hybrid meeting format, by utilizing Microsoft TEAMS, for anyone who needs to attend virtually. 

Public participation is welcome in the form of written or verbal submissions, and may request to attend virtually via Microsoft TEAMS. The Committee may invite external experts to present information on a topic before them.

The Committee makes decisions on owner appeals concerning the euthanasia of vicious dogs.

Aggressive Dog Committee is governed by Bylaw 5235, in alignment with Alberta's Dangerous Dog Act.

The City of Lethbridge acknowledges that we are gathered on the lands of the Blackfoot people of the Canadian Plains and pays respect to the Blackfoot people past, present and future while recognizing and respecting their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship to the land.  The City of Lethbridge is also home to the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
