Mandate
The Animal Welfare Committee advises on projects to improve the welfare of animals in the City, including the reduction of feral cat colonies in the City and the spay/neuter program of the No Kill Alliance (NOKA). This Committee reports to the Community Safety Standing Policy Committee.
Meetings
The Animal Welfare Committee meets in person as well as offering a hybrid meeting format, by utilizing Microsoft TEAMS, for anyone who needs to attend virtually.
Public participation is welcome in the form of written or verbal submissions, and may request to attend virtually via Microsoft TEAMS. The Committee may invite external experts to present information on a topic before them.
