Send a Recorded Voice presentation (limit 5 mins.)

COVID-19 NOTICE: As the pandemic continues, the Audit SPC is committed to maintaining social and physical distancing. As such, meetings will have virtual and physical participation. 


Meets Monthly, first Wednesday of the month, or as per the Council Calendar. Meetings may be cancelled, or date/time revised by vote of the Committee or Council.

The Audit Standing Policy Committee assists Council in fulfilling its responsibilities relating to:

  • Monitor the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR);
  • Monitor the independence and performance of the Auditors; 
  • Provide avenue for communications among City Council, Administration, and the Auditors; 
  • Identify and monitor the management of the principal risks that could impact the financial reporting of the City; and
  • Oversee risk management to minimize the City's exposure to loss.
