The Community Safety Standing Policy Committee meets in person as well as offering a hybrid meeting format, by utilizing Microsoft TEAMS, for anyone who needs to attend virtually.
Public participation is welcome in the form of written or verbal submissions, and may request to attend virtually via Microsoft TEAMS. The Committee may invite external experts to present information on a topic before them. For information on participation, contact cityclerk@lethbridge.ca.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month or as indicated on the Council Calendar. Meetings may be canceled, or the date/time revised by vote of the Committee or Council. Meetings are governed by

Mandate
The Community Safety Standing Policy Committee assists Council in fulfilling its responsibilities by making recommendations to City Council regarding the planning, development, and implementation of municipal strategies relating to animal control, emergency and protective services, public safety, and regulatory services, including items emanating from the Committees that report to it.
