After graduating from Sheridan College (Applied Photography), Jeff Coffman moved to Lethbridge to work at a local portrait studio. Once in the community, he became involved in various organizations, such as the Kiwanis Club of Lethbridge, the John Howard Society, the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra Association, Safety City Society, the Lethbridge Housing Authority, Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta and the Lethbridge Police Commission.
In 1995, Jeff was elected to Lethbridge City Council and served one term in office. After buying, operating and selling a camera store franchise, he moved with his family to Edmonton, where he earned a Bachelor degree (Political Science) at the University of Alberta. After moving back to Lethbridge in 2007, he began his Masters (Political Science) at the University of Lethbridge, graduating in 2010.
Jeff is a sessional instructor at the U of L, teaching local government and politics. He was elected to a second term on City Council from 2010-2013 and is now serving his third term on Council.
