I was born in Taber in 1975 and moved to Lethbridge soon afterward at a very young age. I attended numerous schools in Lethbridge and graduated from Lethbridge Collegiate Institute. My post-secondary education included time at both the University of Lethbridge and Lethbridge College, from which I graduated with a Diploma in Interdisciplinary Studies.
I was first elected to City Council in 1998 and over the years I have represented the City on various boards, committees and commissions. I was honoured and humbled to be the youngest known Alderman to take a seat on Lethbridge City Council. Now, with more than 15 years of Council experience, I still believe there's much to learn and offer to the citizens of Lethbridge.
During my time on Council, I've been a successful entrepreneur. Having started my own publishing company, Parker Publishing Inc., I was very proud when my original magazine Prairie Wheels was bought by Canada's leading publishing company, Black Press Group of Vancouver, B.C.
My main hobbies are golf and squash, and I especially enjoy playing with my two young children. I am married to my high school sweetheart Mandi, and we are blessed with two sons, Gage, 7, and Owen, 4.
