What is this bylaw about?
This bylaw will reclassify the Mixed Density Residential Zoning (R-M) to update the preferred locations for proposed secondary suites to include lots:
- Across from or adjacent to parks
- corner parcels
- parcels within 100 metres of existing or planned multifamily housing forms or within 100 metres of lands that are zoned to allow for medium to high density housing
- Across from or adjacent to commercial land use districts
- parcels with lanes that are across from or adjacent to P-R and P-B land use districts
These are only preferred locations, and do not prohibit the R-M zonings at other locations.
When will the Public Hearing be?
The Public Hearing will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in Council Chamber, City Hall.
