Bylaw 6265 - Municipal Development Plan

What is this bylaw about?

The Municipal Development Plan (MDP}, Bylaw 6265, is under review by City Council. It received its first reading on February 9, 2021, and a Public Hearing was held from March 29 to April 1, 2021. On May 18, 2021, the MDP received Second Reading and various amendments were approved by City Council based on the feedback received during the March 29 to April 1 Public Hearing. 

The MDP will be discussed at a second Public Hearing on June 29, 2021, and there is an opportunity for you to share additional feedback with Council. 

The role of the MDP is to set a vision and policy guidance for the City to improve residents' quality of life, to meet the community's changing needs, foster a prosperous local economy, and grow in a responsible manner for years to come.

The public hearing will be in Council Chamber, City Hall

How can I participate?

If you wish to make a written submission on the Bylaw, fill out a submission form no later than . You may also make a verbal presentation at the Public Hearing, but note that presentations are limited to five minutes.
