What is the process for getting a business license?
Once your application has been submitted it will be reviewed for completeness and forwarded to the appropriate internal and external agencies for approval. The approvals required will depend on the type of business you are operating but may include: Zoning, Fire, Ministry of Health, etc. Once all the approvals are received, your Business License will be mailed to you.

Yes, for direct selling you will need both a City of Lethbridge business license and an Alberta provincial direct sellers license. You can get the provincial license through Alberta Government Services at 403 381 5707.
