UPDATE: Due to overnight snowfall, the paving crews will not be able to complete work on Monday, October 28 as originally planned. They will try and complete the work by the end of the day on Tuesday, October 29, weather permitting.
Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) will be upgrading the rail crossing on 43 Street, north of Highway 3 starting Saturday, October 26. This work will require a road closure on 43 Street North from Crowsnest Trail to 2 Avenue North.
A detour will be in place to direct traffic around the area. Residents are asked to follow the posted signage and drive with caution in this area.
Motorists can also use an alternate route (i.e. Mayor Magrath Drive, 28 Street N) to avoid any delays and alleviate pressure at some of the intersections on the detour route (particularly on Monday).
The work is anticipated to be complete on Monday, October 28 with the road re-opening at the end of the day Monday, weather permitting.
