A total of 543 ballots have been cast so far in advance voting for the 2017 Municipal Election. There are still a number of additional advance voting opportunities available for residents from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on:
- Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 City Hall, 910 4th Avenue South
- Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 University of Lethbridge, Andy's Place, 4401 University Drive W.
- Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 City Hall, 910 4th Avenue South
Advance voting stations are arranged leading up to Election Day Oct. 16 in an effort to ensure all eligible voters have an opportunity to vote. Any eligible voter can vote at an Advance Voting Station, even if the voter will be in the city on Election Day.
Lethbridge Transit service will be free on Election Day Monday, Oct. 16!
You are eligible to vote if you are a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years of age, have lived in Alberta since April 16, 2017, live in Lethbridge on Election Day, and can produce identification displaying your name and address.
Voters can vote for Mayor, up to eight candidates for City Councillor, up to seven candidates for Public School Trustee, and up to five candidates for Separate School Trustee. When casting ballots, voters are not required to vote for the maximum number of candidates in any category.
