Arts in the Parks returning for a second year

The City of Lethbridge is thrilled to announce the return of Arts in the Parks for 2022. Arts in the Parks is a free outdoor performance series featuring a wide variety of local musicians and artists.

For the 2022 season, the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge is coordinating the series on behalf of the City.

"We are excited to build upon the success of last summer's inaugural presentation of Arts in the Parks", says Jillian Bracken, Community Arts & Culture Manager. "We look forward to showcasing local performers throughout the city again this year."

Arts in the Parks debuted in 2021 with New West Theatre as series organizers. 54 performances by 232 different artists took place in a variety of local parks and approximately 3,200 people attended.

This year, performances will take place across Lethbridge over six different weekends in the summer beginning June 18.

"Experiencing live performance and engaging with the outdoors is so important," says Suzanne Lint, Allied Arts Council Executive Director, "The AAC is delighted to partner with the City of Lethbridge to connect the community with the musicians, singers, dancers, and performers in our city. Art truly connects us."

All events are free to attend. It is recommended to bring a lawn chair, sunscreen and a water bottle along for the shows. For more information on the 2022 Arts in the Parks series, please visit https://artslethbridge.org
