Building Inspection to reintroduce inspection in private dwelling and commercial units

In alignment with City Hall's re-opening strategy, Building Inspection will resume performing inspections within private dwellings occupied by homeowners and tenant occupied commercial and industrial units.

As the health and safety of the public and City of Lethbridge Building Inspection staff are of the greatest importance, Alberta Health protocols for health screenings and personal protective equipment will be followed for every inspection performed by Safety Codes Officers.

Inspectors will conduct a health screening with the homeowner or tenant prior to performing the inspection on site. Should the inspector find proper social distancing is unable to be maintained, or persons onsite are exhibiting symptoms of illness, the inspection shall be concluded and rescheduled for a later date.

Inspections can be booked online using the eInspections Portal: lethbridge.ca/eInspections
