As Lethbridge City Council prepares to finalize the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), residents are invited to learn more at an open house. All projects identified to be potentially included in the City's next CIP will be on display. Residents can ask questions, get information and provide feedback.
Capital Improvement Program Open House
Wednesday, April 26, 2017
4 – 8 pm | City Hall Foyer
Both members of City Council and project coordinators will be in attendance to help answer any questions. Those who cannot attend the CIP Open House can also leave feedback online by visiting http://lethbridgecapitalimprovementprogram.mindmixer.com/.
After gathering this information, Council will go into budget deliberations the week of May 15-19 with the final approval of the CIP scheduled for June, 2017.
The CIP identifies required capital projects within the City of Lethbridge and provides a planning schedule and financing strategy. This is a 10 year plan (2018-2027) with funding identified for projects approved within the first four year window.
There will be limited CIP funding available in the next four years. City of Lethbridge departments and local community organizations with CIP needs have been challenged to stretch their thinking and focus on what the community will need in the next 10 years and beyond.
