The City of Lethbridge is excited to announce the return of in-person Canada Day celebrations for 2022.
After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, this family friendly activity will once again be returning to Henderson Lake Park and Galt Gardens.
Celebrations in the north east end of Henderson Lake Park will begin at noon. Activities include the food hub, kids zone, live performers and fireworks. There will be a multitude of food options to choose from with many food trucks in attendance. The kids zone will have many activities including bouncy castles, a family friendly theatre shows and face painting.
The main stage will include performances throughout the day, presented in partnership with the Allied Arts Council. Guest speakers will take place at 4 p.m. and the celebrations will conclude with the much anticipated 11 p.m. firework display.
Events at Galt Gardens will once again include a Show & Shine hosted by the Le Baron's Car Club from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors can also kick off their Canada Day Celebrations by stopping by for a free breakfast at 9 a.m. hosted by the Interfaith Food Bank.
The City will also be continuing with their decorating contest for 2022. Decorate your home, business or sidewalk with Canada themed flair and have the chance to win a prize. More details can be found here.
