Update re: community consultation & committee for response to drug crisis

Council members were updated that community consultations are expected to start by late September. This work will, in turn, aid the development of the mandate and scope for an ad hoc committee Council voted on Aug. 7 to establish to develop a community-based strategy to deal with issues arising from the drug crisis for residents and businesses. The community consultations will also help iniform the work of the committee. To accommodate this new work plan, council voted to allow more time for the terms of reference for the committee to come before them for approval.
