Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a brush fire in the river valley just before 6 p.m. on Monday, June 22.
Nineteen firefighters from three stations responded to the west side of the Oldman River, north of Whoop-Up Drive and crews were able to contain the fire to a small area.
There were no injuries reported.
The cause has been ruled as undetermined. The hot weather over the last few days is making the
coulees much drier. Please be careful to minimize fire risks. This includes
properly disposing of smoking material.
