Disaster-Con: Are you ready?

Power outages, floods, fires - emergencies happen when we least expect them.  Suddenly, you might need to think about your kids at school or getting across town to rescue your pets. Or if there is an unplanned power outage in the middle of winter, staying warm becomes an immediate concern.

Having a family emergency plan and emergency kit will save time and make real situations less stressful.

Disaster-Con is a free, family-friendly event that is bringing together 10 local agencies to talk to the community about what to expect in an emergency situation.

Friday, May 10
12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Park Place Mall Atrium

The following agencies will be in attendance:

  • Canadian Red Cross
  • Alberta Health Services
  • University of Lethbridge
  • Lethbridge Police Service
  • Lethbridge Animal Shelter
  • Lethbridge 311
  • Lethbridge Fire Prevention
  • Alberta Emergency Management Agency
  • Animal Emergency Task Force
  • City of Lethbridge Emergency Management
