At approximately 11:00 p.m. Wednesday night, fire crews responded to a residential fire on Eagle Rd North.
Sixteen firefighters from three stations arrived to find visible flames coming from the basement of the residence. Crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control.
Paramedics assessed and treated one resident on site with minor injuries and were able to save a dog and another pet from the residence.
Damage estimate is yet to be determined and the fire is still under investigation.
