Lethbridge Fire & EMS crews responded to a residential structure fire this morning. At 11:02 a.m. a 911 caller reported a fire at their residence of 1916 4 Avenue North. 16 fire fighters from three stations responded and were able to have the fire under control in less than an hour.
There were no injuries sustained to the residents or fire fighters. However, one cat and one dog did succumb to the fire. Another cat was able to be rescued.
As this investigation is still ongoing, damage value has not been fully assessed. A fire investigator conducted a preliminary investigation, with a complete scene analysis scheduled for Monday.
