Fire department deals with three fires in 30 minutes Tuesday

​Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to three fires within 30 minutes on Tuesday, May 18.

Members from all four stations attended the fires, as well as two units from Coaldale for assistance. No injuries were reported from any of the three fires.

The first fire was located on the 500 block of 12 Street South. A couch and fence were reported on fire and spreading to the adjacent garage. Crews arrived and were able to extinguish the fire before it impacted the garage.

The second fire was on the 600 block of 4 Street South and occurred within 15 minutes of the first fire. Crews attended the rear of the residence where a utility trailer and a car were on fire, which spread to the adjacent garage.

The third fire was a grass fire was just off Scenic Dr. toward 7 Avenue South. Approximately 80 square metres were burned.

All fires are being treated as suspicious.
